Cherry Hinton, Cambridge

Friend's of St Andrew's Society

St. Andrew’s Church is pleased to announce that they will be establishing a ‘Friends of St. Andrew’s’ society.

The Church has recently undergone extensive renovation work. Without this Cherry Hinton would have lost a tower which holds the oldest bell in Cambridge. The recent works proved to be expensive and it has highlighted the need to fund regular maintenance and repairs of both the Church and Church Centre.

St. Andrew’s is both a meeting place for worshippers and a beautiful feature of Cherry Hinton. The Church Centre is also important to the community as it is a regular meeting place for many local groups.

We hope that the 'Friends of St. Andrew's' will not only help raise much needed funds but become a focal point for the community through the events it holds. We are looking for individuals and businesses across the local area, and those further a field, who would be interested in giving help and support. This may be by becoming a member of a ‘Friends’ committee, becoming a member of the ‘Friends’, or helping out at events. If you have ideas for fundraising, or if you have a skill or talent such as artwork, graphics or photography that you think will be of use then please contact Louise using the form found here.
